Cold World music video premiere

“Cold World,” a music video collaboration between Project Level and The Jerusalem Youth Chorus, will have its world premiere on Tuesday, April 6 via Project Level TV on YouTube.

This unique, international collaboration was facilitated by the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) through its Invest in Peace initiative. The music video comes a little more than a year after the two organizations performed together at the Invest in Peace “Harmony + Hope” benefit concert held in partnership with the YMCA of San Francisco at San Francisco City Hall in January 2020.

“We’re so proud of what these young performers have accomplished. Far beyond our original vision of a benefit concert to raise awareness for our Invest in Peace initiative and funds for The Jerusalem Youth Chorus and Project Level,” said Karen Stiller, Director of the JCRC Middle East Project. “This amazing collaboration shows us what the future of coexistence initiatives can be, not simply focused Israelis and Palestinians, not simply raising up underserved youth in the Bay Area, but working together to forge a better world for cross-cultural communities everywhere.”

Project Level Co-Founders Danielle Banks and Richard (Big Rich) Bougere are also this year’s recipients of The JCRC Courageous Leadership Award, which will be awarded at JCRC Behind the Scenes 2021 on April 13, 2021.

“Working with The Jerusalem Youth Chorus was enlightening and a great learning experience. As a fellow artist it was great to work with such a talented group from the other side of the world,” said Big Rich, co-founder of Project Level.

“I’m always amazed by the power of young people and how they express themselves,” added Danielle Banks, co-founder of Project Level. “Collaborating with The Jerusalem Youth Chorus via Zoom pre-pandemic, and recording the song and music video in one day was so much fun.” “Making this music video with Project Level was a unique opportunity to see the world through someone else’s eyes – to understand the struggles that Project Level’s youth members go through and how we can join our voices together to sing out for a better world for all of us,” said Micah Handler, founder and artistic director of The Jerusalem Youth Chorus. “Thank you for opening up your world to our singers!”
