Peacemakers Respond to the Coronavirus Crisis
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing upheaval worldwide. Israel and Palestine are on lockdown. A third Israeli has died from the disease and cases are now being confirmed in Gaza as well. Invest in Peace peacemakers are scrambling to respond to the grim reality of life under the shadow of a pandemic. We’ve gathered a collection of statements and activities updates from these groups to help you understand the stresses for coexistence from those on the front lines:
- A New Dawn in the Negev
- Arava Institute
- Interfaith Encounter Association
- Hand in Hand School
- Parent’s Circle
- Project Rozana
Looking for additional ways to learn and connect during this time of social distancing? Boston’s Partners for Peace has kicked off a Pathways to Peace Learning Series. This six-part series will feature Israelis and Palestinians telling their stories of identity, friendship, and cohesion even during a time of social distancing.
