Debate for Peace to Visit Bay Area
Invest in Peace’s newest Peacemaker, Debate for Peace, is planning to bring four of its inspiring student debaters to the Bay Area in August!
A unique conflict resolution and youth empowerment program for Israeli and Palestinian students of all backgrounds, Debate for Peace has had nearly 1,000 students participate in its programming over the past two years. These highly motivated high school students participate in Model United Nations events, practice peace negotiations simulations, and join leadership retreats such as the one coming here next month.
During their visit to the Bay Area the students will participate in two public meet-and-greet events on August 16:
- The first will be a Brown Bag Lunch at JCRC in San Francisco from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
- Later, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a Presentation and Discussion by the students at Temple Beth Abraham in Oakland.
Don’t miss out on your chance to hear from these inspiring student leaders. Advance registration is required and space is limited.
